Warm welcome ahead as the The Ark sails to VetPartners

ONE of Warwickshire’s best-known practices has joined VetPartners.

The Ark Veterinary Practice in Stratford-upon-Avon has been treating small animals since 1992.

Practice owners Julian Marcus and Richard Lindsay will remain at the practice as clinical directors, along with their team of established vets and veterinary nurses.

Some 140 of the UK’s most respected and trusted small animal, equine, farm and mixed veterinary practices are part of VetPartners, with 5,514 employees working across nearly 400 sites and from its headquarters in York.

Julian Marcus said: “The next phase in the history of The Ark Veterinary Practice has begun and I am delighted to continue to be an integral part of the practice and its future.”

Richard Lindsay said: “The union of The Ark and VetPartners will allow the practice to continue to thrive and develop further with an ongoing commitment to high standard veterinary health care.”

The Ark Veterinary Practice employs three vets, two qualified veterinary nurses, three receptionists and three nursing assistants.

The practice, which operates from a single site in Birmingham Road, provides 24-hour on-site emergency out-of-hours care. It boasts full hospitalisation facilities, as well as radiography and ultrasound facilities and an on-site laboratory.

VetPartners CEO Jo Malone said: “We are delighted to welcome The Ark Veterinary Practice to our family of practices. Their decision to join VetPartners shows we are committed to attracting some of the best veterinary businesses.”

VetPartners, which is one of the UK’s major veterinary groups, also has five practices in Italy, and diversified to include a small animal veterinary nursing school, an equine nursing school, research dairy, laboratory and locum agency.
